Couldn't sleep. Watching He got game and wish I could talk to my niece Audrey. Shes so smart and has a beautiful , colorful mind. Shes learning the guitar and loves my band which says a lot..(because shes he got good taste) I like talking to her about the paranormal and I saw a ghost before bed the other night .its bright red fugue stood before new in my bed and stared at me. I believe it now. Its been awhile since my last ghost interaction.

I had strep throat and i was locked in my bed for a good two days, unable to even talk, and when i had to get up and play a show with Devon Williams, (from LA) i didn't think i was capable. but i was and i did. we played well, but it didn't seem to be even worth it, because there was a lack of people and/or excitement during the whole show. but a week after the uneventful experience Will found a review that made it clear that we were able to gain, at least, ONE new believer...?

Lilac has stolen my heart. It's what i'm currently engulfed in, and i'm rather proud of it. it's my baby, a really stoned, dreamy, pilled out toddler. it's definitely not a cute baby, because babies aren't EVER cute, and cute is a bad word to me... so, what i'm trying to say, is that i'm a mother of a brainchild. Will Ivy is the pop papa (lead guitar and vocals), Chrys Nodal is our sweet guitarist, Heather Fedewa is our drummer (when we play shows) and loopy mama me, on the keys & vocals. We're recording with Different Fur at the beginning of December and we've been writing new hits like no ones business. check out our myspace, our music review on Aquarius Records' website, or buy our $3 demo from them! but either way, try it on and see how it feels. hope you enjoy it.

cancerous affairs

i've been hiding at the bottom of the sea with these crabs-- creating, loving and being. these beautiful cancers have entered my life, and their crab-like clench is a sweet everlasting one.. (significant signs i guess)

celebrating their birthdays' by making a delicious dinner with wine and greyhounds at our friends' lavish loft in the soma. this is just a taste of what's been brewing in our world.

pic 1- this is my clairvoyant cancer, will. he makes beautiful music, cooks delicious birthday dinners, supplies humor, and completes this trilogies' family dynamic.

pic 2- this is mysterious/malicious mark. he's another aesthetically pleasing factor of our cancerous affairs. it's a family, and like will, like a cancer, he knows how to laugh and toy with life's realities.

this family functions and thrives because we're able to live life without fretting, anything dark (or 'normal') is mocked. we know how to value the humor.

I've been testing with my friend- Laura Anne, a photographer/ stylist, and we pump out as many creative shoots as possible.. this is just a taste of the most recent one we worked on.. somewhat last minute-Laura Anne literally found this spaniard while shopping at Urban Outfitters downtown and felt inclined to approach her and ask if she'd mind being our model.. (ruthless)
Just a fun little project, incorporating garments from our wardrobe and stores in union square, but an overall success based on the fun that we had.

One long night.

These shots were taken for my personal portfolio work. I styled, produced, and modeled.
Photographer- Claude Shade (my best friend/mentour).
Make up artist- Lisa Ribar.
Hair- Jayme Fletcher.
It turned out to be an all night shoot (from 9:00pm- 5:00am) My original model flaked on me, and we only managed to get three different looks in, but once the finishing touches are incorporated, it'll be worth all the sweat, blood and tears put into this.

For magical occasions only.
When I worked retail, there was a gentleman that came in every week to see me.. Me- being the social person I am, became an acquaintance of this fellow, and talked interior design, and vintage apparel with him and apparently charmed him to the point of coming in more frequently. This led him to offer me to go with him to his other house in LA, then to Bali.
As much as I'd like to run away and be taken care of in a vibrant country, My logical thoughts refused.
Since I turned down the exotic travels, He offered me a designer bag instead. Initially refused, not wanting him to expect anything in return, but he was insistent.
...Since he was leaving in two days, I decided to point him in the direction of my current obsession.
A credit card swipe later, the clutch was mine.

A trip to Bali with a random 40 something interior designer, or a nice, pricey clutch?
I'll take a trip to Bali on my own terms.. (not relying on someone elses wallet to feed me).. But in the mean time, if you want to get me a mixed shell Celestine clutch that I could never afford, I'll take it. Thank you.

A nice little 30 minute train ride east led me to an entirely different world. Something I used to be so comfortable with made me feel entirely out of my element.

Yesterday, in a hangover haze, Tyler and I went out to brunch/ mimosa's and wandered around the wet streets. We ended up at Dolores park and shifted our buzzed state into dreamers mode. The houses on the hill, above the park are special places. From the clean, modern design, to art deco, brazen, Victorian style houses. Lush green gardens, and five story mammoth houses got us drooling. Tyler and i will be dreaming about these lavish homes. But for now, we'll cope with our modest, young lifestyle.

Seema took some pictures of me in Claude's studio downtown. She threw her prized possessions on me- I was surprised she even let me touch them.. considering those Chanel glasses were the last pair in the U.S and she drove all the way down to LA for them. around $800 later, after gas, food, and a place to say, she snatched the big Chanels.. That's determination.

Today is nude and I'm still coming up with a look to coincide with this concept.. Give me some advice if you can think of a good look to go with it.

Revolving my outfit around NARS Jungle Red. It's the perfect shade of red, so i put on my consevative little turtle neck with my tightest pair of jeans and went for a 40's/50's inspired look.

Wearing vintage fur and coat, YSL lip color number 12 with NARS Scarlett empress liner.

This week, I've been revolving my outfits around my lip color. I don't have enough money to buy new clothes, it's too cold to wear fun prints or patterns, so i add a splash of color to my face to slightly revamp my 'outfit repeats'. It makes all the difference and it gives you a new identity with each color you glide on. It's like getting a haircut or jumping around in different eras.

Friday night at Hemlock, there was a joining force to bring spiritual fulfillment. Baltimore based band Thank You, and our San Francisco natives Mi Ami. These bands just got back from their US tour and are making a pit stop here in SF before they head off on the Europe route.
I've never danced more at a show in my life. DRUMS, screams, keyboard keyboard keyboard. It was truly a magical sound that evening.... Cosmic! Sexy. Awake.

Isaac Vazquez.. My little secret treasure, my future husband & one of my all time favorites. I met him through my ex boyfriend a couple of years ago and his impact on my life is powerful. (one of my greatest friends)

I’m sharing these pictures, because I feel truly selfish for keeping these fascinating images to myself. He’s a very unusual, an introverted chap with an aura of mysticism and poignancy. His sentiment and ‘cool’, awestruck lifestyle is prevailed in his work.

The photographs are raw, they’re new, and they’re anything but contrived. A bona fide feel with a ‘This is San Francisco’ heart. There's an insouciance in his style, and it's that "something" that appears in the homeless, his friends, his boudoir, his projects, his girlfriends, his city. What Isaac has over the majority of photographers is an intriguing conveyance capable of expressing certain feelings without giving too much away.

Yesterday had all the potential to be a dull, lazy Sunday, but we went against the wet, cold forces of nature by packing in quesadillas, brownies, blueberries, magazines, The Oscars and a nice long stroll in the rain..
Zana lives in North Beach, and we had to get out, so we faced the dark, wet streets and headed down to China town.
China town has this mystical energy about it, but on a deserted, rainy, Sunday evening, it's spewing with loads of dark magic.

So, instead of getting dressed up to go out these days, I pinch my pennies by doing outfit repeats and throw my heels on strictly for work and therapy.. I'll throw on the occasional tennis shoe to go for a run at the gym, but most of my wardrobe selections are revolved around dressing up for my therapist and clients at Jeremys. (kind of pathetic, but it keeps me as sane as my therapist does)
dressing nice is more than necessary and heels are a MUST. (regardless of how many times you wear them, or what you're wearing them for.)

venus in furs 1970

This 1970 take on Austrian author Leopold von Sacher-Masoch's Venus in Furs is so visually pleasing.. You could capture almost every shot and make a painting of it. The story holds its plot, for the most part, but swerves a little closer its times (to the 70's). The perverted passions of a beautiful young couple and need for masochism is beautiful and dark in shades of pastels. The film doesn't necessarily come close to the book written 100 years prior to it, but it's quite sensational.. Hope you enjoy.

Getting out of the house on Friday night was almost impossible, (considering how nasty the weather's been), but after rounding up my goodies (Dion, Tyler, Zana, Laz, and Lisa), I got ready, bathed myself in black, threw some mascara on, and ran out..
the perks-Sic Alps and the Oh Sees were perfect, the boys were cute and the cover was almost non-existent..
Going out is something I've kind of been avoiding lately, so consuming the energy of all the good people in the OCD warehouse was a reinforcement of my love for SF..
